  • Important Notes
    1. CHC is approved as a pilot training school by Transport Canada.
    2. We normally train from September through May.
    3. The school generally operates Monday through Friday, 0800 to 1700.
    4. Minimum age requirements:
      1. Commercial licence - 18 years.
      2. Private licence - 17 years.
    5. Training costs are tax deductible as per Revenue Canada regulations.
    6. A flight report itemizing costs will be issued at the end of each week of flight or simulator training.
    7. CHC does not provide accommodation; however, students usually do not have difficulty finding suitable accommodation for the duration of their course.
    8. The R22 is restricted by maximum pilot weight. Please check with us if you weigh over 200 pounds.
    9. Flight helmets are not supplied or mandatory as we provide headsets for use during the course. If you wish to purchase a helmet, this can be done at a discount through our parts department after your course starts.
    10. We have a limited number of training positions available.
    11. To secure a training position:
      1. Please detach and complete the “Application For Training” on the following two pages, then return it to us.
      2. Contact us to arrange for a personal interview.
    12. Once your training start date has been confirmed, we require a $2,500.00 non-refundable deposit. This goes on your account and directly toward your training.
    13. During the training period a positive balance must be kept on account at all times.

A Transport Canada medical examination must be taken from an approved civil aviation medical examiner 1 to 2 months prior to commencing training to allow time for processing. For a commercial licence you will need to meet Category 1 medical standards. For a private licence, Category 3 medical standards. Pilot medical fees are not included in the course costs.

If you have any questions, please call or arrange to see us in person.
